What is a Customer?

1. A CUSTOMER is the most important person in any business.

2. A CUSTOMER is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him or her.

3. A CUSTOMER is not an interruption of our work. He or she is the purpose of it.

4. A CUSTOMER does us a favor when he or she comes in. We are not doing him or her a favor by waiting on him or her.

5. A CUSTOMER is part of our business – not an outsider. A customer is not just money in the cash register. He or she is a human being with feelings and deserves to be treated with respect.

6. A CUSTOMER is a person who comes to us with his or her needs and his or her wants. It is our job to fill them.

7. A CUSTOMER deserves the most courteous attention we can give him. He or she is the lifeblood of this and every business. He or she pays our salary. Without him or her we would have to close our doors. Don’t ever forget it.
